Trivia Dash Privacy Policy
Trivia Dash (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is operated by
[Matthew Littleton], based in [United Kingdom].
This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Android app
Trivia Dash (package com.lizzi.triviadash).
If you have any questions, contact us at
support@triviadash.app.
1. Information we collect
- Profile & gameplay: display name, avatar choices, scores, Elo, match history, and preferences. Stored on your device and optionally synced when you sign in.
- Account (optional): if you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account identifier and email via Supabase Auth.
- Purchases: subscription status is processed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
- Ads: Google AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers to deliver ads to non-Pro users.
- Diagnostics: basic crash and performance data may be collected to keep the app stable.
2. How we use information
- Run gameplay, leaderboards, party lobbies, and daily challenges
- Manage Trivia Dash Pro subscriptions and restore purchases
- Serve ads to non-Pro users via Google AdMob
- Improve the app, fix bugs, and prevent abuse or cheating
3. Legal basis for processing (EEA / UK users)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract: to provide the app, subscriptions, and online features you request.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
- Consent: for personalised advertising and any optional analytics, collected via Google’s consent dialog (UMP) inside the app. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app’s settings or via your device’s ad preferences.
4. Sharing & third-party services
We use the following services, which process data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play & Google Sign-In
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Supabase (optional online accounts and cloud sync)
- Google AdMob and Google’s certified advertising partners (ads for non-Pro users)
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising & consent
Free users see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier to deliver personalised or non-personalised ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we show a Google-certified consent message (UMP) where you can choose between personalised and non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time from the app’s settings or reset your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
6. International data transfers
Our providers (Google, RevenueCat, Supabase) may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Retention & deletion
- On-device data remains until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.
- Cloud account data (Supabase profile, scores, match history) is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, billing records held by Google Play).
You can delete your account and cloud data from our account deletion page.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@triviadash.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. To exercise these rights, email support@triviadash.app.
9. Children
Trivia Dash is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our cloud services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or via the Google Play store listing, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
